Unit/Pitt Projects

UNIT/PITT Projects (formerly the Helen Pitt Gallery) is a non-profit artist-run centre dedicated to the promotion of experimental contemporary art that addresses social, political, cultural, and critical issues. We promote and facilitate public dialogue concerning critical awareness, social consciousness, contemporary art practices and community.

Although we are based in visual art practice, our programming goes beyond the presentation of exhibitions into media, telecommunications, public actions, publishing, music and performance. We support and assist in the development of artists’ curatorial projects, concentrating on a limited set of projects each year.

UNIT/PITT is an active and proud member of the Pacific Association of Artist Run Centres.
