Established in Oct 2007 Shudder has continued to thrive without public funding for the past four years. Located between Chinatown and Main St Shudder exists as part of the DTES and Gastown, a unique position in the Vancouver artist community, a bridge between an artist run center and a commercial gallery.

Since its beginning in 2007, Shudder Gallery has quickly become a landmark for emerging artists and young talent in the city of Vancouver. Supporting the local emerging arts community and encouraging national participation from artists and performances across Canada. Shudder Gallery aims to promote all forms of contemporary creative communication and visual arts.
