Monte Clark Gallery

105 - 525 Great Northern Way Vancouver
BC, Canada

The prominent Monte Clark Gallery has an ongoing rotation of exhibitions – from eight to ten per year - highlighting work by artists represented by the gallery. The majority of the artists either live, or have lived, in Vancouver. The collections shown in this intimate space have been described as among Vancouver’s “edgiest”. Paintings make up the bulk of the gallery's holdings, but photographs and mixed media works are also displayed on a regular basis.

Works by some of the biggest names in local art circles can be found at the Monte Clark Gallery. Artists of this ilk include Graham Gillmore and Derek Root. They were two of the now-famous Young Romantics first put in the spotlight by a landmark exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The gallery also represents a number of other artists including Roy Arden, Douglas Coupland, Scott McFarland and Stephen Waddell.
