This years Inform Bar will be designed by Bocci.
Jeanie Andronyk chatting with the crowd.
Jeanie is going to be part of this years One of a Kind District. The District will feature 60+ amazing handmade designers and their unique products with not only some of the hottest home décor, but also fashion, jewellery, kids stuff and everything in between!
Keynote speaker and the weekend speaker were both announced that evening. Piero Lissoni is the keynote speaker. Architect and designer Piero Lissoni approaches his work with a mastery of proportion and an acute sensitivity for the subtlety that distinguishes the common from the insightful, never designing for a specific function or purpose, but designing for human beings. Tommy Smythe is speaking on the weekend of IDSWest. Tommy Smythe is known for his incredible sense of style, his passion for design and his signature look complete with an envious collection of bowties. With over 125 hours of design television under his Hermes belt, Tommy is as comfortable in auction houses, antique markets, city lofts, million dollar homes and just about any store on Fifth Avenue. As one of Canada's most beloved design personalities, Tommy is not afraid to tell it-how-it-is and viewers appreciate his frank, delightfully acerbic approach to interior design. (via HGTV)
All in all it was a fantastic evening with food from Re-Up BBQ and a fascinating factory tour of the Bensen factory. We're looking forward to September!
