The main focus of these silkscreen editions was to develop an understanding of the tools and materials which I utilize to create the pieces, mainly the Exacto knife, vellum stencil paper, oil paint and Stonehenge paper. Rather than me dictating what it is I wanted the tools and materials to do, I felt I could achieve much more if I let them lead me in direction they desired.
In the end, they took on an enjoyable journey to unique destinations of composition, form and colour.
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Keith Weiss studied art and design in Alberta and currently lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia. Taking a back seat, Keith desires that intuition be the driving force of his art work, to take him where he needs to go.
