As a prelude to the 2012 AIBC Annual Conference, you are invited to the opening of the latest AIBC Gallery exhibition. This exhibition will explores concepts and ideas related to the conference theme of “Elevation: Reaching Higher Ground”. More than just architecture’s physical impact on the built environment, it will examine the importance of setting new standards for architectural excellence, raising the level and quality of dialogue around the profession, and, in doing so, growing the level of public awareness and connectedness with architecture. This exhibition looks beyond typical practice, responding to the growing changes and needs that impact not only our built environment but our very way of living. Submissions encompass built projects, specific elements of completed project design, and purely ideas-based representations.
